Exceptional

Friendly staff, especially the receptionist. Environment is well groomed and looked after. Enjoyed the beautiful scenery while on the hike. Ablution blocks were always clean. Would definitely recommend camping/caravanning area.

Wonderful

Close proximity to the Blyde River dam cruise jetty. Lots of animals like baboon, Guinea fowl, Kudu and antelope in the property. Lots of space for leisure walk

Very nice stay with lots of hiking and fun activities.

The location was great. It has great hiking/walking trails next to the river. The facilities were nice as well and I really enjoyed the pool.

The bar was always closed

It was a relaxing break away.

The view and the atmosphere (bush feeling) was amazing. We enjoyed staying in the tents. The staff was friendly. The shades next to the swimming pool was Amazing. Fun place for a family.

The tents need a bit of work. The zips weren’t working properly and the one tent had wholes in the floor… The day visitors was a bit of a problem as they did not adhere to the rules at the swimming pool and security did not act. They were consuming alcohol next to the pool and swimming in vests on Wednesday.

Perfect!

I have known Swadini for over 40 years, but it has been more than 20 years since my last visit. I was blown away by how fabulously it is maintained. The pools look remarkable, considering they are almost 50 years old. We only stayed one night, but will be back for a week! There are breathtaking mountain views, fabulous wildlife (you may even spot endangered African painted dogs!) and some of the most spectacular hiking trails on the planet. I went spotlighting at about 10pm and saw thick tailed mongoose, duiker, waterbuck, kudu, a wood owl and several bush babies. There are baboons, vervet monkeys, trumpeter hornbills, Guinea fowl and a myriad of other bird species. This place is paradise.

The air-conditioning unit was as noisy as a Tupolev taking off. Evenings are pleasantly cool though.

The place was awesome, seeing the baboons,monkies and kudu's around the area.i found the peace I was looking for in that place Pools were super clean n relaxing, Boat cruise was amazing quard biking as well I wish I had more time

Nice stay option with lovely views and trails and activities to do around.

The amenities were nice, furniture in the tent was comfortable and practical, accessibility to other parts within the resort was easy.

The check in was not smooth. The property didn't have my booking despite me showing the confirmation number.

It was ok.

The adventure centre were only 2 bicycles and only 1 worked. The put put course was a mess. Although horse riding is still advertised it is no longer available. Chalet -Couldn't unlock the back door from inside, couches uncomfortable and the tv was mounted on the wall in a position that made it difficult to watch anything.

Our Stay was very beautiful. still gonna come back again with my family

Waking up next to the mountain with animals and birds sinning in the morning. The environment was very perfect for me and my family. The rooms space and peacefully inside can make me come back again.

I can say improve on the beddings if the chalet is booked for family. the main bedroom can it be more classy on the bedding styles. not in a bad way. but all in all it was not really bad

Amazing scenery. Value for money. Comfortable accommodation with a TV. Friendly staff at reception and gate. Availability of shop and restaurant.

Nice surroundings.

Nice surroundings. We took a lot of the trails. It is very beautiful. Up to the dam is breathtaking but road needs work. Birdlife ,kudu's and bushbuck visit the camp all the time. Staff very friendly. The lady that cleaned our chalet did exeptionally well. Chalets have everything you need.

Please limit day visitors. To many schools at one time. One day there were 7 taxis and two busses . Then also kids staying over. We could not get in the swimming pool. Not enough space for everyone. Kids walk through chalets playing loud music. Please also soundproof your chalets. It feels like you sleeping head to head with your neighbour. You can hear them coughing talking and snoring in your room. Shop is also very expensive

Residents and dayvisitors

Everything was neat and clean, i didn't even know that they clean your hired tent while you are out. Its so nice and quite at night (,out of season). The interaction with wildlife and the walking trails are awesome.

Too many day visitors are allowed in busses and taxis. These visitors really take over the resort without paying as much as "residents" staying in chalets and tents. Its unfair to the residents in chalet and tents, let day visitors pay more to reduce the amount of dayvisitors to the people that pay a lot more for a nice less noisy break away.

Wouldn't mind visiting again

We were free and the management is not strict in a way that is fustrating they trust their guest mand give them privacy. Really enjoyed our stay.

Monkeys but they are harmless and needs access to Wi-Fi in the chalets

Great place, great accommodation. What a view.

What a wonderful place! The view is amazing, right into the Canyon. Clean rooms, good shower, a lot of space... And lots of facilities (with heated pool) for everyone. All of this for a very reasonable price!

Nice, but not really for somebody who wants nature.

Excellent location. We had not realised it was an "all inclusive" type of resort, with facilities and activities on-site (which was not what we wanted, but others may have different expectations). Staff had no clue about the the activities around (e.g. hippo trail was given as 10km, 6-7h which did not make much sense. It turned out to be 10km to a very nice turning point at the Blyde river rapids and then 10km back.
